Freemans & Grattan VIP emails
by Julian GrattonWe were approached by the VIP team over at Freemans Grattan Holdings to help improve the financial performance of their email programme, which in their view was massively underperforming. At the briefing, we instantly recognised some quick wins that we could implement to make some initial improvements so we accepted the challenge.
By applying two years worth of learnings on email communications (gained via testing and heat map analysis) into the email programme together with more sophisticated email building and more attractive creative that included better navigation, call to actions and copy with a touch of empathy… we were confident that these changes would improve the performance of the email programme, but if we were honest we were surprised by just how much. The first email, which was sent in November 2008, smashed all expectations as it improved ROI by over 300%!
However, despite this result we didn’t rest on our laurels as we continued tweaking and evolving the creative seeking further improvement. Over the course of the next three emails we continued to maintain these KPIs and the end result was an ROI improvement of 311% across the entire campaign.
