I like my men High, Mighty… and on the radio

by Katie Shoard

High & MightyWriting a radio ad is one of the few opportunities a copywriter has to work in a completely unique medium, and I love it. Radio ads can be really effective too, if you get it right. And really annoying, if you get it wrong. So when we were briefed to create an attention-grabbing radio ad to entice tall or large fellas into High and Mighty stores we knew there’d be some big challenges… excuse the pun.

The problem is, the kind of chap that needs extra long trousers or XXXL size t-shirts can be a little bit coy about his ample dimensions. This initially came as a surprise to me, but then I am the daughter of a 6ft 7 scouser with hands like bunches of bananas who’s very proud of his stature… and his ability to reach things on the highest of shelves. I suppose their self-consciousness can be likened to the way that long tall sallies like me shy away from describing themselves as having a ‘boyish’ figure because of its unfeminine and unflattering connotations.

It’s the little creative things that matter

by Julian Gratton

A bunch of tropical flowers given to a girl can have an effect that far outweighs their cost. From Red C Marketing blog article entitled 'It’s the little creative things that matter'As we all know, in any relationship, it’s the small things that matter. Yet what many people don’t realise is that it’s not only in our personal relationships that small things can have a big effect… they can also have a similar result in the relationships marketers, brands and companies have with their customers or business partners.

And why do small things matter? Well, as anyone who has ever bought a girl flowers knows; something small but effective can have a kind of result that is absolutely out of proportion to the cost.

High and Mighty email marketing

by Emma Beagrie

The opening section of an email created by email marketing agency, Red C Marketing, for High and Mighty as part of our full email marketing work we have conducted for this fashion retailer. After undertaking the successful  rebrand of High and Mighty we were tasked with producing a weekly e-newsletter that would be sent to the High and Mighty database.  The newsletter needed to reflect the new look and feel for the brand, as well as promoting the range of products and services available both instore and online.

Red C created a template that incorporated the key elements of the brand which included informative style tips, quirky quotes and added value pieces such as comical Youtube clips. These, combined with a range of products that linked directly to the website created a hardworking yet visually appealing e-newsletter.

The words of wisdom behind our High and Mighty rebrand

by Julian Gratton

High and Mighty 'Clothes Make the man'. The positioning for the new High and Mighty has taken inspiration from a famous quote by Mark Twain. From Red C marketing, Manchester Advertising Agency, Design Agency and Online Advertising Agency We Like postingWhen we were tasked with giving High and Mighty a new look and feel we didn’t want it to just be pretty graphics and pictures with no substance behind it. We wanted to create something that explored High and Mighty’s passion for helping men look their best even though they need clothes in hard to find sizes. I mean, just because you are high and mighty it doesn’t mean you can’t look good!

We wanted to create a look and feel that also encapsulated the great people who work on the shop floors of High and Mighty. Unlike normal clothes stores, High and Mighty’s assistants are skilled at finding men clothes that not only look good, but fit perfectly too. So they are well educated in how to dress a man, no matter what height or width he may be.
