AGA Rangemaster set to boost online presence with Red C
Integrated agency Red C has won a three-way pitch to expand the role of online marketing for AGA Rangemaster Group, which celebrates the 300th anniversary of its foundry this year. The agency has been appointed to work on a number of brands including AGA, Fired Earth, Divertimenti, Falcon, Rayburn, Rangemaster and newly acquired Mercury.
“Each brand represented a very different challenge,” explained Red C Managing Director Adrian Rowe. “For example, AGA already has a strong social media presence thanks to its passionate customer base and iconic status, whereas Falcon, which benefits from a strong commercial heritage, is aiming to raise its profile with those with a passion for cooking.” The agency recommended a different blend of PPC, search engine optimisation, social media marketing and e-mail programmes for each brand.
According to Head of CRM at AGA Rangemaster Carine Hodgkiss, the Group was looking for an agency that could demonstrate both strong digital credentials and a deep understanding of the different markets they operate in. “Some of our brands have a history spanning more than 100 years, and we knew that we wanted to exploit 21st Century media channels more effectively. Red C demonstrated a clear and comprehensive online brand strategy that fitted well with our ambitions for the channel.”
The agency will begin campaigns for all brands from early October in both UK and European markets, aiming for the crucial pre and post Christmas market for AGA’s cooker and cookware brands. Initial activity will focus on improving search engine rankings, and developing national and local catchment area campaigns for showrooms.
